Six cleansing practices according to the ancient scripture “Gheranda Samhita” meant to purify the body and prepare oneself for the practice of asana, etc.
Our asana practice waxes and wanes with the phases of the moon. We start the day after the new moon with eight asanas, adding eight more every two days, until the series reaches 56 total asanas. We will eliminate postures every two days until the day before the full moon. Sundays are self-practice/ co-teaching days.
Contributing to the maintenance of the ashram through seva – the spiritual practice of selfless service without an expectation of recognition or reward. Tasks could include food preparation, gardening and cleaning our communal spaces.
