In this introductory two week Hatha Yoga & Patanjali Yoga Sutras residential course you will build a solid foundation for your sadhana, by gaining a deeper understanding of the eight limbs of yoga.
Start your morning as any other at Santosh Puri Ashram with a 1.5 hour YogAsana Session (Hatha Yoga, pranayam and meditation) led by Mandakini Puri. Spend the afternoon learning about Pantajali’s Asthanga Yoga (eight limbs system of Raja Yoga).
Patanjali Yoga Sutras Philosophy lecture course with Ganga Puri gives an introduction to Raja Yoga in four chapters: Samadhi, Sadhana, Vibhuti, and Kaivalya.
This course is for you especially if you have practiced Yogasana (physical postures) and would like strength the foundation of your sadhana with Patanjali’s traditional ashtanga (eight limbs) yogic philosophy.
Often considered the father of yoga, Patanjali breaks down the path of yoga, by first explaining the goal, the obstacles that obstruct our path and then techniques and results of our sadhana. In this ancient philosophy you will learn the importance of removing the modifications of the mind, self-study with devotion, and consistency in practicing with detachment.

Ganga Puri teaches Jñana Yoga as a two week intensive Patanjali Yoga Sutras Course, through his own commentary, attempting to illustrate it with relatable life experience.
NOTE: However course is part of the Yoga Teacher Training Program Curriculum, general guests not enrolled in the YTT may also participate.

- 7:30 Am – YogAsana
- 9:00 Am – Breakfast
- 10:00 Am – Karma Yoga
- 11:00 Am – Svādhyāya (self study time)
- 1:00 Pm – Lunch
- 3:00 Pm – Tea Time (Herbal Tea)
- 4:00 Pm – Yoga Sutras Lecture
- 6:00 Pm – Dinner
- 7:15 Pm – Vedic Chanting by the dhuni
